RGV Dynamics Dance Team Dance Competition Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility

• Open to school drill teams, studios, and collegiate teams.

• Age divisions: Pre-K through collegiate.

• Directors/Coaches are responsible for registering their teams and ensuring compliance with all rules.

2. Divisions & Categories

• Solos – 2 minutes max

• Duets/Trios – 2 minutes max

• Small Ensemble (4–6 dancers) – 3 minutes max

• Medium Ensemble (7–12 dancers) – 3 minutes max

• Large Ensemble (13–20 dancers) – 3 minutes max

• XL Ensemble (21+ dancers) – 3 minutes max

• Elite Groups (10–24 dancers) – 5 minutes max

• Officer Routines – 5 minutes max

• Team Routines – 5 minutes max

• Production – 10 minutes max

Categories include: Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Kick, Lyrical, Military, Modern, Novelty, Open, Pom, Production, Prop.

3. Registration

• All entries must be completed through the official registration platform.

• Registration fees must be paid in full by the deadline.

• Late registration is only accepted with director approval and late fees.

• All fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by RGV Dynamics.

4. Music Submission

• All music must be uploaded to the registration platform before the deadline.

• Backup copy must be provided on an iPad or electronic device.

• All music must be appropriate for family audiences.

• Studios/Teams are responsible for obtaining rights or licenses for copyrighted music.

• RGV Dynamics is not liable for copyright violations.
   

5. Costumes and Props

• Costumes must be age-appropriate and performance-ready.

• All costumes must align with family-friendly standards.

• Props must be declared in advance for approval.

• Teams are responsible for bringing and removing props promptly.
   

6. Performance Guidelines

• Teams must check in at least 1 hour before scheduled performance.

• Dancers must be prepared to perform when called.

• Directors are responsible for floor patterns, formations, and spacing.

• Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.

• No outside food or drinks are allowed in the venue.
   

7. Liability

• RGV Dynamics LLC, staff, judges, and affiliates are not responsible for injuries, property loss, or damages before, during, or after the event.

• Participation is voluntary and at the risk of the director/team.
   

8. Dispute Policy

• All disputes must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the event.

• All judging decisions are final and may not be appealed.
